Date of visit: August 15, 2010, around 3:00 p.m.
Departing from Nancy, where it was raining hard and very cold. We will go to Strasbourg. Alsace region is near the border with Germany. I was thinking of visiting one more Alsace town or a beautiful village, but it was raining so much that I decided to go directly to Strasbourg where I would stay today.
We arrived in Strasbourg without getting lost or getting caught in traffic, although we took a break on the way.
By the time we arrived in Strasbourg, the rain had stopped.
We booked our hotel right in front of the train station to make it easy to find by car. We were able to reach the station, a modern design, about 5 minutes from the suburbs.
The hotel is on the left side of this picture, i.e. opposite the station.
I was told to use a public parking lot a few minutes walk away from the station. I dropped off my luggage and my parents and headed to the parking lot by myself. This parking lot is also accessible to the station and is very clean and safe.
