Date of visit: October 10, 2011, around 3:00 p.m.
This is the third beautiful village of the day. It took about 1 hour and 30 minutes by ordinary road from Seyang which I had visited just before. The distance was not so long, but it took more time than I expected because it was a public road and the road to the village was quite mountainous. We came to the west. It looks like Provence already.
There is a large car park at the entrance to the village, very easy to find and park. It is big enough to park several tourist buses. Is it famous as a tourist spot there?
Well, this village is located at an altitude of about 640 meters above sea level, so it is sometimes called « the empty village of Provence ». Indeed, the view is wonderful. But still, it’s a beautiful day!
What I thought was interesting about this village was the location of the church. In many villages, the church is located in the center of the village, but here it is outside the village. It’s located on a small hill about 100m away from the village.
The inside was also rustic but very nice. You can see how important the church is.
We go down a gentle slope leading from such a church to the village.
Just a few tens of meters from the entrance, you are already in the center of the village.
As usual, we used this place as a starting point for a stroll through the back alleys.
Not only in beautiful villages, but also all over Europe, the signs and billboards are very stylish, aren’t they?
I wonder if this kind of sense is natural from their point of view.
By the way, the chateau? I don’t know well here, but I couldn’t enter. I only saw it from around.
I would have liked to visit at least one more place, but my parents were with me this time, so I decided to stay in Provence for the day.
