Located in the southernmost part of the Walloon region, Tornui, our second stop of the day, is the most beautiful and impressive village of our tour of the most beautiful Walloon villages. It is very difficult to reach due to its location, but I assure you it is well worth a visit!
We arrived just after noon, an hour after leaving Noble Salle. Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy, but as we approached, very bright houses in an even brighter shade of brown, or even orange, than Noble Salle jumped out at us below. I was feeling this elation, something I hadn’t felt in a long time.
This kind of atmosphere is what I was looking for in a beautiful village.
In addition, the parking lot is not so large, but it is scattered throughout the village, so it will not be a problem.
And of course the church. Actually, we could enter on this day, but it was just after noon, so it was closed for a while. It is very common that churches in Europe are closed for siesta.
ちなみにこの村にはミシュラン一つ星にも選ばれているオーベルジュ「Auberge de la Grappe d’Or」があります。実はこの日からもう少し北へ行ったところにある別の美しい村（後日紹介します）のオーベルジュに2泊することになっていました。しかし、こちらのトルニュイのオーベルジュも宿泊候補地として考えていました。ただ、やはりこの場所、あまりにも陸の孤島過ぎたため、観光効率を優先して諦めました。

Well, this region is the warmest area in Belgium, and they produce wine, which is rare in Belgium. So we decided to have a light glass of wine at a cafe restaurant in the center of the village.
But to be honest, it was not very tasty. By the way, this village seems to be well known, so I think there were a lot of tourists for a small beautiful village, although it was lunchtime. The biggest accommodation and restaurant in the village is the Auberge which I introduced earlier, but there were several cafes and restaurants besides this Auberge. There was also a souvenir shop and a wine cave. It can be said that the tourist resources are particularly rich among the beautiful villages of Walloon that I have seen so far.
It’s certainly a very difficult village to get to, even if you have a car, considering the efficiency of the visit, but I assure you it’s very much worth a visit!
