On this day, we went to Arles and Avignon, starting from Les Baux-de-Provence, one of the most beautiful villages in France. I thought that was all the time I had left, but there was still some time before sunset, so I decided to visit a village called Ménerbes, about 10km from Gordes where I was staying.
This area is like a gentle flatland. This village is located on a slightly high hill. You can see Gordo faintly with naked eyes.
In fact, there are many beautiful villages in the Vaucluse region, including Gordes. Last year, when I stayed in Gordes for two nights, I was a bit tired and couldn’t visit any of these beautiful villages, so I thought I’d take this opportunity to visit all of them.
Compared with Gordes and Les Baux, it is smaller and there are few tourists. Indeed, it was evening when I visited, so the village was quiet.
By the way, it was written in a book that Picasso had a villa here at one time.
We left this village before dark and headed back to Gordo.
