It was the 12th of October. This day was more of a free day. We decided that it would be a day to drive around Provence as we saw fit, with time on our side.

The first stop on such a day was the village of Venasque, about 15km north of Gordes, where we were staying.

The location looks like this. As I showed you last time, the most beautiful villages in France are concentrated in this vicinity.

  • Gordes(ゴルド)
  • Ménerbes(メネルブ)
  • Roussillon(ルシヨン)

And this Venasque.

There are also several villages somewhat further away. This will be introduced later.

Now, let’s get back to this Venasque.

The road from Gordes was tighter than I expected as we had to drive all the way through the narrow mountainous roads. And it may have taken a long time for the distance.

Still, the road was easy to find. We arrived at the village safely without getting lost.

Even in a simple and small village, the association is still worth seeing in its own right!

There are no such sights around, but there are a few hotels.

It is a very small village, so I think the real sightseeing time was less than 30 minutes.

Well, well, well…. We decided to head this way, which is clearly visible from this small village in Provence.

(Then it was back to touring the most beautiful villages in France.
