Luthern, Switzerland’s most beautiful village tour No.26 ★★☆☆☆☆

Most beautiful village tour of the world
Most beautiful village tour of the worldSeptember Switzerland, France, 2017The most beautiful village of Switzerland

Date and Time of Visit: September 12, 2017, approximately 2:00 p.m.

Our first stop on our September 2017 tour of Switzerland’s most beautiful villages was here in Lutern, where we drove from Charles de Gaulle Airport in France on September 11. On the day of our arrival, we stayed in a small town called L’Engle, which is located in the southernmost part of the Champagne region, and the next morning we drove to Basel and entered Switzerland here. From the town of Basel, I took another 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to Lutern.

I’ve been to France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, and many other beautiful European villages, but no matter what country I’m in, I’m always anxious, excited, and full of anticipation when I first visit a place.

Lutheran is a very small village in the rustic countryside. When we think of Switzerland, we have a strong image of steep mountains and magnificent Alps, but the south-east region of Basel is not particularly mountainous. It’s a relatively flat area with only a few small mountains and hills.

There was a free parking space near the church, probably where the town hall is, so we parked there.

First of all, there is a church in the village, and there are two rather large buildings around it, and then there are a few houses for ordinary people. The aforementioned large building is thought to be a hotel, but I wonder if there are so many people who stay in such a small place? A housing complex? But it’s in the countryside….

Even so, there were many shops. Will the tourist come there? It seems to have been more substantial than I thought, such as a guide sign, whether you put a good deal of effort in tourism.

It is a pity that the road through the village is too fine. This is a scene I often saw in the most beautiful village of Wallonia. I started to wonder if the most beautiful villages in Switzerland also have asphalt roads instead of cobblestone roads, which are too big for the size of the village.

Not as a result of visiting several beautiful villages after this one, but because we had just started our tour of Switzerland’s most beautiful villages when we came here, and this was the first one.

However, the scene around the road was very beautiful.

The houses in the village were also very nice.

There was not much to see, but the weather was good, the recovery was good, and the timing was good. I guess you could say it was a good start. But we were not blessed with good weather for a while after that.
