Date and time of visit: April 20, 2011, 10:00 a.m.
It’s the 20th of April. Today we move from the most eastern to the most western part of Brittany. The first beautiful village of the day is Le Faou, just outside Brest.
The location is around here.
When I made the above map (image) earlier, I noticed that the location (coordinates) of this place is (48.295671,-4.181038), that is, it is not east longitude but west longitude, so it is located west of London.
It was about a two hour drive from St. Malo, where we stayed the night before. Or maybe it was a bit closer? Brittany doesn’t have many highways. Instead, it is a motorway and the speed was limited to 110km/h, but it was very comfortable to drive as if we were driving on the highway.
Well, this village in Brittany does not have so many attractions, but you can still feel the smell and atmosphere of a beautiful village.
The main attraction is this church. A small but wonderful church full of originality.
Unfortunately, we could not go inside.
Stone built streets, there are some nice buildings, but it is a little disappointing that the roads are not cobblestone.
But we already know very well that many beautiful villages are like this.
I think my stay was about 20 minutes.
Now we’re off to a village called Lochronan, less than an hour from here. I’m looking forward to it as it seems to be a very highly rated village.
