France’s regional and departmental marks are pretty cool – Tour of France’s most beautiful villages 2013 – Part 1

The most beautiful villages of France

One of the nice things about touring the most beautiful villages in France is that we were able to

フランスの地理に詳しくなった

This may be the case.

I was able to naturally learn not only the locations of the major regional cities, but also the names and characteristics of each area.

フランスの地域圏(Région)県(Département)の名前をかなり覚えたのも恩恵のひとつ。

A regional area is a division like « Kanto Koshin region » in Japan, and a prefecture is a division like « Kanagawa prefecture » in Japan.

I think it’s especially cool to see the symbols for each of the regional areas! Apparently there are old and new versions.

The image at the top of the page shows the mark of the Corus Regional Area.

The old one is here.

It’s a little funky, isn’t it?

This mark is also used on car numbers.

When you are traveling to a beautiful village in France, it is not uncommon to cross these regions or provinces on the highway.

After all, I saw the mark of the Midi-Pyrenees region frequently this time. (I don’t have a photo at all.)

Because when it comes to beautiful villages, it’s the Midi-Pyrenees!

Another thing I personally thought was cool was the mark of the Champagne-Ardenne region.

Here are some pictures I took while I was running.

I like the sound of the words in this region.

As with national borders, why is it that I feel so happy when I cross the boundaries of these areas?

他の国にいったときにも気にしてみようと思います。
