I thought it would be easy to buy it locally, but surprisingly, it was hard to get it because some shops were closed.

The size of the map is 1:1,000,000, which means that the whole of France is on the map. The inside of the map looks like this, and the places where there are beautiful villages are marked with the symbols.

The base is the familiar « Michelin » map. It can be said that it is the most standard road map in France.

It is easy to measure the distance to the destination because 1cm=10km, but it may be a little difficult to tour around the village with only this because detailed roads and place names are not listed. No, I don’t think so. (Actually, I completely forgot that I had bought this map until today.

official guide

Here are the contents of the official guidebook.

It contains not only village descriptions, photos and maps, but also information about restaurants and hotels. This time, we are going to arrange accommodation locally every day during the trip, so this page may be very helpful.

Last year was the first time for us to visit the most beautiful villages in France, but this year we have a lot of information and know-how because we have done it once before, so we can plan very efficiently.
