I guess today was a more difficult day to drive than I expected. In the end, we were only able to visit three places.
First, the beautiful village of Semur-en-Brionnais
First of all, it took a surprisingly long time to reach here. The weather was still fine at this time.
It’s a very small town and I was impressed by the simplicity and beauty of its churches.
The inside is also very mysterious.
After that we went to a village called Charroux, but we couldn’t find the nearest highway exit which we thought was there on the map…. We had to give up crying because we had passed a lot of places.
Our next stop was Val Castle. I learned about it from an app on my iPad and decided to visit because it might not be too far away.
However, it took us a long time to get here because the road to get there was very steep.
And around here, the weather started to break as forecasted. It wasn’t raining at the time of Val Castle yet.
The next stop was Saint-Saturnin.
It was difficult to go here as well. Because we had to go through a steep mountain road on the way….
I’ve been tweaking the process of getting here. It was around 22:00 to 23:00 Japan time, and several people watched it.
We usually lose the signal just before arriving at the beautiful village, but on this day, the signal seemed to be good.
And it was a very good timing because Saint-Saturnin is a very nice and impressive village with a very nice chateau and a church, which is one of the most beautiful villages to see.
Unfortunately, it started to rain while we were sightseeing, so we couldn’t take many pictures. But I think I could take some nice pictures.
Tonight I’m staying in Clermont-Ferrand. I made a quick reservation from booking.com, which I’ve become familiar with during lunch.
When we arrived in Clermont-Ferrand, the rain was getting heavier, but it subsided as we wandered around looking for a parking spot.
We decided to have dinner at the hotel where we were staying.
