May 6, Pradelles was the first beautiful village. We arrived a little late in the morning, around 11am, because we had spent the previous night exploring the town of Le Buit.
It’s not so much when I look at the pictures again now, but if anything, it’s one of the « disappointing » villages in this tour of beautiful villages.
First of all, the location. Because it’s located right along the main highway….
« It’s on a road called the N88. The « N » stands for « National Highway ». It’s a big road. When we talk about a beautiful village, we usually follow the national road to get close to it, and then take the « D » road, which is a prefectural road (laughs).
The image of the village is that there are a lot of old buildings that look like they have a lot of charm, but to be honest, they are not maintained properly and are dusty.
The other thing that strikes me is that the building is kind of tall.
I don’t like the idea of tall buildings in a beautiful village. It should be a church and a tower…
So I was a little disappointed in the village, rather than the town. Still, the old French scenery is still there. I think it was worth visiting. And it was easy to get there from Le Buit.
Still, I felt it was very cold in spite of the beautiful weather. It was probably because the altitude was higher than I expected.
The weather is getting better, let’s hope for the next one.
