Mountain Lionからは割りと地味な変更でしかないMavericks(無料は大きいかな?)ですが、割りと気に入ってるのが「マルチディスプレイ」です。
自分は、自宅のMacを2画面で使っているのですが、確かに今回の新機能、Mountain Lionよりも便利だなあと思いました。
What’s changed is that in previous versions of Mountain Lion, when switching between virtual displays, the
But since Mavericks, it’s been
I’m ready to go.
I thought that there was not much benefit because it was only this, but I noticed that it was unexpectedly convenient.
The first display is an « information gathering display ».
I always start up the application that the frequency of use is very high like a Web browser and the Twitter client, and keep one virtual desktop.
And in the other display, the Work Display.
I start up 2-3 virtual displays, and I always start up the application (in my case, memo, Evernote, iTunes, etc.) which I use somewhat frequently, and when I want to use another application newly, I start it up in one of the virtual desktops of this display side.
In the past, for example, if I had Chrome or Night Owl running on desktop 1 on one display, and I tried to do some work on desktop 2 on the other display, both displays would become desktop 2. I had to move both displays back to desktop 1 when I wanted to use twitter or search the web.
It is true that Magic Trackpad and Magic Mouse are convenient, so this switch was easy, but still it is troublesome, and I had always thought that there is a meaning of the dual display in this state.
しかし、いざMavericksになり、上記のような「情報収集用は1つのデスクトップ」、「作業用は複数のデスクトップ」という使い方を思いついたことによって、作業効率がまた一段と上がったのではないかと思っています。
