Date of visit: October 12, 2011, around 1:00 p.m.
Montbrun-les-Bains is a small village located to the east of Mont Bantoux. You can see Mont Bantou to the west.
We didn’t plan to stop there at first, but my parents seemed to be more energetic than I expected, and the road to Mont Ventoux was more gentle than I expected, so we had a lot of time to spare.
Even so, we drove along the road at the foot of the mountain, and it was not a gentle road. The road itself is narrow, so we had to use our nerves.
The village is located on a slightly high hill. We parked our car at the foot of the hill and walked up the hill to the village. It was a hot afternoon, and the weather was fine. So I think I sweated more than I expected and exhausted my physical strength.
There is a chateau on the hill of the village, but it seemed to be under renovation and we could not go inside.
By the way, this nameplate is interesting. You can’t see it in Japan.
We slowly made our way down the hill from the chateau.
The village square is not big. A small souvenir shop and one cafe, tourists were about us and one other group.
From that square, we walked to the church, which is about a minute away.
In the square in front of the church there was a hotel.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t go inside the church, so we only took pictures from outside.
At the most, you can stay for an hour. Next, we will go to the village on the west side of Mont Bantou.
