iMac 1TB Seagate ハードドライブ交換プログラム
A small percentage of Seagate 1TB hard drives in 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMac systems sold between May 2011 and July 2011 have been found to fail under certain conditions.
Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) will replace your affected hard drive free of charge.
What? ! It seems to be applicable to me…. Then, after a while, I got an email from Apple.
Apparently, it was a thoughtful target.
I don’t know well, and because I cannot bring in a big iMac suddenly, I decided to ask at the direct management store of Apple for the time being according to the instruction of mail.
So, I decided to try to book « Genius » for the first time.
I was able to easily make an appointment by following the appropriate link and following the instructions.
If you have an Apple ID, it’s quicker.
The above screenshot was taken just as I was writing this diary, though. I accidentally booked it again…
When the reservation is completed, you will receive this email.
So, I went to Apple Store Ginza at 11:45am today. I’ve been to the 2nd floor many times, but it was my first time to go to the 4th floor.
A handsome, half-Japanese waitress took care of us.
As for the conclusion, being that there is a defect in HDD of a very part, free exchange program until July of next year, I decided to look at the situation for the time being if even backup is taken in such a way in detail.
By the way, I heard that the fastest way is to call the toll-free support number directly and have the designated company come and pick it up directly, rather than bringing it to a directly managed store. If there is a problem and I can’t do anything about it, I’ll call them.
それにしても、Time Capsuleが欲しくなりましたよ…。
