There were a lot of things that happened, such as rolling blackouts and power saving during the summer, but I am doing fine without any change as I live in an area with relatively little damage.
Some of my friends who suffered a lot of damage in the Tohoku area are now doing orchestra activities as usual, although there is still a long way to go to recover. They seem to be doing well.
Although there was a great deal of damage and sad events, I believe that we have gained a high level of experience. At least, how we should act, how we should judge, and what position we should take when a major disaster occurs, I think our way of thinking and our position on these matters have changed since last year.
I don’t like to argue about the principle that « we must not let it fade away », but at least in my case, I have been able to record the situation and my feelings at that time on Twitter and blog, so it might be a good idea to revisit them from time to time. It might be good to revisit it from time to time.
