I’m finally able to stay in a hotel with a stable internet connection, so I’m writing this blog from there.
I’m in a village called Gordes in Provence. We are staying here for 3 nights. The top photo is the town of Gordes! Beautiful.
This is actually my second time to visit here. I visited here last year in the « Tour of the most beautiful villages in France ».

We are really blessed with good weather this time. It will probably be sunny for the whole day.
Well, I came to France two days ago. First, we stayed at the airport in Paris and took an early morning flight to Nice. From there we rented a car.
The car we rented was an Alfa Romeo Giulietta!
I was actually planning to get an Audi, but this one is better. I’m driving an Alfa Romeo in Japan now, so it’s great to be able to drive in France with the same feeling I had!
On the first day in Cote d’Azur with Giulietta, we went for a drive along the sea. At the same time, we went sightseeing in Monaco. It’s the third time already….
As usual, Monaco is a car museum.
On the first day of the Côte d’Azur, we stayed in Saint-Paul, an eagle’s nest village on the outskirts of Nice. This is such a town.
Well, I can’t be too reckless this time because I’ll be with my parents for a week, but I’m still going to the « most beautiful village in France »!
So far, I’ve only visited
- Sainte-Agnès（サン・タニェス）
- Gourdon（グルドン）
- Seillans（セイヤン）
- Tourtour（トゥルトゥール）
- Gordes（ゴルド）
I visited 5 places except Gordes. Newly visited 5 places except Gordes.
In particular, the following
Sainte-Agnès.
Gourdon.
These were beautiful villages near the top of a sheer mountain. It was hard to get there…. But it was very beautiful. I’ll write a detailed blog when I get back home.
プロヴァンスでは行っていなかった美しい村がいくつかありあしたので、そこを訪れつつ、アルルやアヴィニョンなどの世界遺産の街に訪問したいとおみます。今日あわせて3日もあるので時間的には十分余裕があります。
