On this second day of sightseeing, I was with the senior team this time. We drove around the places we had visited the day before.
Meanwhile, the junior team went to Carcassonne, where the senior team visited yesterday.
ということで、写真は昨日と同じようなものばかりですが、この日はなんと晴れ!。
It finally cleared up at noon on my fifth visit, Sallah.
And the meal is the same basic foie gras as yesterday. Because it is the first time for the senior team.
The senior team also enjoyed the beautiful city of Sallah.
After that, we changed the course slightly from yesterday. Although the senior team members were full of energy, yesterday’s visit to the castle in Castelnaud was too tough with its steep stairs and steep gradient, so we decided to visit the most beautiful village in France, Benac et Cazenac, after Sarlat. This area is just opposite to Castelnaud.
This is one of the extraordinarily beautiful villages among the most beautiful villages in France. I took the liberty of giving it 5 stars overall in my own self-assessment.
We departed Korobenak at 16:00 after a smooth schedule, and headed back to Toulouse just before 19:00, where we met up with the junior team, who were returning at about the same time, and moved to the Place du Capitole in Toulouse.
The Capitol Square was set up like a stage for some events related to the Revolutionary Day (French Revolution Day is a national holiday), which was a bit disappointing, but the magnificent view was still there.
Afterwards, we visited the church of Saint-Sernin, about five minutes away, and then returned to the Place du Capitole for dinner.
Even though it was very difficult and time consuming for all 8 of us to order our meals together because of the unfamiliar French menu, everyone seemed to be satisfied with the delicious beer, wine and food.
I was the only one who ordered a course (menu), but everyone else ordered a la carte, so when they brought my starter, they must have thought they had already brought enough for everyone. Before the main course came, he asked me « What would you like for dessert?
Of course, I said, « The main course is not ready yet! and had it brought to me right away (laughs).
It was partly because the waiter was late in bringing the main course, but two or three hours fly by when eight people are having a lively meal. Before we knew it, almost all the customers around us were gone, and the waiter brought the receipt to our seats without our permission, even though we asked him for the ladyshion (bill) within a handful of seconds.
I was tempted to say, « It’s only late because you forgot the main dish, isn’t it? » But we got our meal safely and the food was delicious, so we smiled and said thank you and went back to the hotel.
This is the end of our stay in Toulouse. Tomorrow we will head east to Manton.
