Date of visit: April 24, 2011, around 5:00 p.m.
Now I found myself in the Loire. This Loire is the first area I drove in Europe, so it’s very memorable.
On this day, I decided to stay in Tours, the center of the Loire, and this is Crissay-sur-Manse, a beautiful village that is easy to stop by on the way to Tours from Angles-sur-Langelin in the suburbs of Poitiers.
It was quite a small village and it was hard to find it on the map. I also took a wrong road a little. Well, I’m used to it. It’s a village in the middle of all this.
But there were more tourists than I expected. It was also a Sunday, and it takes about 30 minutes from Tours by car, so it might be an easy village to visit.
Although it is a small village, it has a fine church and chateau as usual.
The chateau looked like a ruin, though.
It was a wonderful village that seemed to be floating in the quiet countryside.
It’s really soothing.
This was the end of our tour of beautiful villages on the 24th. We headed for Tours. When we arrived at Tours, it was raining again. I’m a little worried about the next day’s weather, but it will be a good memory for me. (Continue to the next day)
