Ansouis is the final stop in our 2011 series on the most beautiful villages in France.

It is only a 10 minute drive from Ruhrmalang. It is very close. Vaucluse, like Dordogne, has a high concentration of beautiful villages, so it is very easy to visit even if you need a car.

I think I had a hard time to park in the parking lot. There was a space to park about 20 cars in a place like the central square of the village, but it was very narrow.

Let’s take a walk around the village. The first thing I felt is that the color of the door of the building is very nice. I can feel the French sense in this kind of place. I think it’s different from other European countries.

There seems to be a chateau, or more like a mansion of belonging, on the hill of the village, so we walk to it.

We were really blessed with fine weather this time until the end. I think this is the first time that I had such a good weather trip including spring.

We came to the front of the chateau, but unfortunately we couldn’t go inside. It seems to be open only during the so-called season, from April to September.

However, we were able to enter the adjacent church.

One last view of the village from the entrance before we left and said our goodbyes. After this we headed back to Marseille to return the car.

So, this year’s tour of France’s most beautiful villages ends with Ansouis.

In the spring trip, I visited a total of 67 places, and in this fall trip, I visited 13 places, for a total of 60 places. It became 90 places in total. This is still about 60%.

After next year, I probably won’t be traveling as much with the most beautiful villages in France as my main goal, but I’m sure there will be many more trips to France in the future. If there is a beautiful village nearby each time, I would love to stop by.

And one day I would like to visit all the beautiful villages.
