Date of visit: April 24, 2011, around 3:00 p.m.
Actually, before I came here, I was in a city called « Saint-Savin ». It’s a city that is also a World Heritage Site. This village is located about 15 minutes by car to the north from Saint-Savin. Of course, you need a car, but you can say it’s an easy place to get to.
It was full of tourists on Sunday. I had a hard time parking.
It had rained on our last visit to Gargillace d’Ampierre, but by the time we got to Saint-Savin, the rain had stopped and the sun was shining.
Well, this Angles-sur-Langeland is a whopping 1,500 years old. Also, a stream just runs through the village, and from the pictures I saw beforehand, I thought the scenery was one of the most beautiful villages.
So I had very high hopes for it, and it really lived up to them!
There are so many places to take pictures, aren’t there?
We also climbed to the high ground where the old castle is located. Nice day! I’m really glad it recovered. We are very blessed with the weather this time.
It was exactly what I imagined it would be, a beautiful village.
さあ次はさらに北上を続けてロワール地方へと向かいますよ。もう1件くらいいけそうかなー。
