The beginning of the 21st. We left Brittany about two days earlier than we planned. There were not so many places to see as we expected, but we found out that we could move around faster than we expected, so we decided to move up our schedule.
This day is also sunny. We have been very lucky with the weather so far this time.
Well, we couldn’t have breakfast at the hotel in Rochefort-en-Terre where we stayed the night before, so we had breakfast at the PA of the highway shortly after we left the village.
After breakfast, we will take the motorway again to the southeast. Brittany to Nantes direction. Nantes is a passing point. It took us less than an hour to get to Nantes, but it’s a big city, so it’s more like a detour around its outskirts than passing through the city.
After passing through Nantes, we arrived at the first beautiful village of the day, Vouvant, in about another hour. The road leading to this village after getting off the highway interchange is
We found a parking lot around the center of the village and parked there. It was easy to find and it was free. It’s a very small village, so I felt like it was the only place I could find.
In this village, the church of Sainte-Marie in the center of the village is shown in the first picture.
It seems to have a history from around the 10th or 11th century.
Well, the only thing to see was this church (laughs), and that’s what makes it such a « beautiful village ».
The stay was about 30 minutes, and we were able to visit the beautiful village as usual.
Oh, yes, before we left, we bought an eclair at the patisserie in front of the parking lot. They were very tasty!
Next we head to the Ile de Ré. It’s getting hot in here.
