Finally, Morocco travel in earnest.
A wonderful city that is both dynamic and historic.
7日目は1日マラケシュ散策。ドライブはなし。マラケシュは、モロッコの先住民であるベルベル人の初めての王朝の首都であった街。ちなみにムラービト朝とムワッヒド朝と呼ばれたのですが、この名前、高校の頃世界史で妙に語呂合わせのよい名前として何故か記憶に残っていました。
さて、そんな古都マラケシュ午前は史跡エリアと呼ばれる南側を、昼間はマラケシュの中心：[highlight]ジャマ・エル・フナ広場[/highlight]とスークと呼ばれるマーケットを散策。16時に一旦、リヤドに戻り一休み。夜になり再び広場に。おおよそマラケシュを満喫できたのではないでしょうか。
基本的には茶色い土壁の家々が連なるアラブの街という感じのマラケシュですが、王朝の都らしい豪華絢爛なアラブ建築が残っている箇所が数多くありました。
建築美が素晴らしいと思ったのは、午前中に見た史跡エリアの「サアード朝の墳墓群」と「バヒア宮殿」。そして、午後に訪れたスーク北側に面する「マラケシュ博物館」と「ベン・ユーセフ・マドラサ」。雰囲気としてはスペイン・アンダルシアにあるアルハンブラ宮殿に似ていると思います。
なかでも一番印象的で楽しかったのが[highlight]「ベン・ユーセフ・マドラサ」[/highlight]。16世紀から20世紀の中頃までイスラムの神学校としてされていた施設。入場料わずか10DHながら見応え十分の施設でした。
Dining in Marrakech
As for the food, we chose a café terrace a short distance from the Plaza de la Jama el Fna for lunch, and a food stall in the Plaza de la Jama el Fna for dinner.
We chose tajine for lunch and brochette and couscous for dinner. The taste is not good.
さてさて、私は[highlight]「モロッコ風サラダ」[/highlight]がすごく気に入ってしまいました！トマトと玉ねぎを細かく刻みペッパーとオイルで和えてクミンを加えたものなのですが、とても美味しいです。きっとこの後も何度もいただくことになるでしょう。
ちなみにモロッコ料理は、タジン、クスクス、ブロシェットくらいしかありません、これらもきっと食べ続けるのかと思います（笑）

But fortunately, we only visited Marrakech on this day, and there was a riad near the center of the city, so we had enough time for sightseeing and didn’t exhaust our strength excessively.
Marrakech was a very charming city!
I’ll try to write down my overall impression of the last city of Marrakech.
For me, Marrakech was the first place where I came into contact with authentic North African Arab culture. The density of Arab people and city, the dustiness of the city, and the friendliness of the people were certainly there in Marrakech, but I felt that they were calmer than Arabs in Jerusalem and Palestine. It may be that I just got used to Arabs a little, but I think they were not as pushy as Jerusalem and Palestine.
Even so, Marrakech is energetic because it is one of the best cities in Morocco. Tourists also come from all over the world. Certainly I saw people from various countries. Especially, I think there were many European people such as French and German.
The most attractive point of this city is that it has both Arab bustle and royal cultural assets. In particular, the beauty of the interior of the Ben Youssef Madrasa, the Marrakech Museum located on the north side of the Jamaa el Fna Square, was remarkable.
I would love to revisit Marrakech sometime.
