When you visit the most beautiful villages in France, you can’t think of any other way to get around than by car. In other words, if you have a car, you can do anything.

When I first drove in Europe, I was certainly worried about the driving position being on the right or driving on the left, but rather than that, what I was most worried about was the parking situation.

In conclusion, Europe is a more car-oriented society than Japan, so wherever you go, I think you will be blessed with a parking situation that cannot be compared to Japan. I think this can be said even in cities.

Especially when it comes to touring the beautiful villages, I can assure you that you don’t have to worry about parking at all.

Many villages have a parking lot at the entrance of the village where you can park about 10 cars.

Basically, it is free of charge, but in rare cases, such as in popular and beautiful villages, there is a charge. There are also some places with parking meters. But the price is usually less than 2 euros per time or per hour.

There are also times when you park in the middle of the city.

This may be rather common outside of the beautiful villages. In fact, it’s easier to see the sights if you park in the middle of a town or village, but of course many people think that way, especially in the afternoon or on weekends, and it’s often impossible to park there.

In addition, it is nerve-wracking to park in the city because it is narrow and you are often forced to parallel park.

If you can’t park, you have to go back to the outside of the village to park. Even so, it is basically a small village, so it is only a short walk. So it is hardly bothered.

By the way, if you are in a famous sightseeing spot such as a world heritage site, you will find a very good parking lot.

It gets crowded, but it doesn’t get full very often. I guess this is the result of the size of the country and the continent.

いずれにせよ美しい村での駐車事情で困ることはほとんどありません。
