We’re nearing the end of our road trip to Santiago de Compostela.

O Cebreiro is one of the most difficult passes on the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage route. Even if you drive on the highway, you can feel the steepness of the road.

Do you feel like you’ll be able to see the goal at once when you cross here? No, but it’s still a long way to go.

These monuments can be found throughout the pilgrimage route.

Further up the mountain from the town of Pedrafeita do Cebreiro, you will reach the small village of O Cebreiro, located on the pass.

The church, located in a small village in a mountain pass, was small in size but very fine and stately.

The inside was more modern than the outside, though.

The few stone houses are very European and a familiar sight that you will want to visit again and again.

We finally reached the top of the pass, and because it was noon, there seemed to be a relatively large number of pilgrims for the size of the village.

Another impressive thing is the number of souvenir shops.

They also sold wooden canes.

They are a bit bulky for souvenirs, though (laughs).

Normally, it seems to go down the pass through this road.

僕はクルマなので一旦ペドラフィータ・ド・セブレイロまで戻り再び高速道路で移動します。(続く)
