I found out by accident the other day that Spain also has a « Los Pueblos más Bonitos de España » (The Most Beautiful Villages of Spain)!

Oh well, I guess that’s next! I like Spain much better than Italy, and it’s easier to drive.
There is also an official iPhone app. It’s not such a cool app, though (laughs).

実は選ばれている村のうち、既にいくつかは訪れたことがありました。2012年に「サンティアゴ・デ・コンポステーラの巡礼路ドライブ」で訪れた巡礼路上の村の幾つかがこのスペインの最も美しい村に選ばれていました。
例えば、カリオン・デ・ロス・コンデス、サアグン、アストルガ、ポンフェラーダ、ビジャフランカ・デル・ビエルソとか。他にもあったような気がします。
We also drove through Spain in 2008, and the Alcazar in Segovia, Frigiliana and Casares in Andalusia, which we visited then, were also selected.
I’ve probably visited a little over 10 places.
By the way, I’m still not sure how many places there are in total. But I don’t think there are more than 100 places.
Also, apparently there is no restriction of « less than 2,000 inhabitants » like the most beautiful villages in France. Also, it seems that not only towns but also castle ruins are included. This is a good attempt.
Since I have already visited some of them and it seems that the hurdle is not as high as the most beautiful villages in France, I would like to use it as a reference for my planning from next year.
